I received this brush in my Influenster Holiday VoxBox, and if you don't know about Influenster you can read all about them here. Basically, to remain a member you review products and stay socially connected to the site and if you qualify for a VoxBox you could receive goodies! I was lucky enough to receive this box that included this brush:
I believe you could have received a round brush as well, but I am horrible at using those so I am happy I got this one. Plus, I straighten my hair a lot more than anything so I don't need the roundness, although I like the volume it gives.
Here's some basic info on the brush, taken from the Goody product page on Influenster's website:
The GOODY® QUIKSTYLE™ Paddle brush works like a towel and brush in one. The super absorbent (and antimicrobial) microfiber removes 30% of water from wet hair to help speed your drying time! You can effortlessly detangle right out of the shower and continue using it while you blow dry!
Anyway, this brush is great! I had my doubts but I was very pleased. The microfibers worried me because I thought ok, if they get wet won't they start to get... gross? But they haven't on me yet! And they also really do speed up drying time. But what I was most pleased with is that I could tell that my hair was softer after a blowout. Sometimes when I blowdry my hair it gets kind of... crispy? Is that the word? But anyway, this brush doesn't do that. It glides through your hair effortlessly and I feel that it is also a great detangling brush. I've been using this on my hair even when I'm not styling it and I'm still very pleased. It's pretty pricey from what I see on the Influenster page ($12.99) but I would say it's worth it, and I'm sure there's a coupon somewhere you can find. I love how it makes my hair feel and it speeds up your blowout which means it'll save you some money on buying blowdryers whenever yours goes on the fritz. Also I've found that since this works so well, I'm using less heat on my hair. Not only is it speeding up blowouts so I'm not using my hairdryer as much but it actually straightens my hair instead of just drying it. It leaves it silky smooth and straight so I don't even need to use my flat iron. Less heat, less damage.
Thanks Influenster and Goody!!
If you'd like to see any extra info on this brush, head to the Goody's page here.

Kiss Nail Dress! New Fave Nail Product!
So as you may know if you've read my blog before, I am a member of Influenster which is a website that allows you to review products, read reviews, and if you qualify, receive 'Voxboxes' which are boxes of goodies sent to you to review. I've received a few boxes and I've gotten products from Kiss many times. First I got their press-on manicure nails which I love! Now I've received the Kiss Nail Dress product and I absolutely adore them. I got them in a 'crackle' type of look it's a silver base with black spots as if I had put a layer of a crackle polish on top. (The shade isn't on their website and I don't have the box near me to check) I really prefer these over the stick on nails because of course they last longer, but I've had these on for a while and they're still looking fine! I put a top coat over them even though they aren't actual polished nails, but it has helped them stay so I'm definitely continuing that. I love all their styles and my favorite is called Gown. They have something for everyone and they really are super easy. I just peeled a sticker off of the page and aligned it with my nail, then smoothed it over and filed away excess. So easy and they last! They help your nails to grow also because I'm not biting my nails because of the cute design, and also they don't chip so I'm not as likely to pick at my nails. I think all ladies should at least give these a shot. I've used them also by using them only on an accent nail! Looks very polished and stylish.

Nail Dress is available in 21 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Check out Peplum, a deep silver with multi-colored gems for a pop of color, or Babydoll, for a golden and glamorous jeweled look. Skip the topcoat, Nail Dress has it built in.
With 28 strips in each package, you can cut up your extras to create designs that can be used on top of polished or artificial nails. Add some pizzazz and use with imPRESS® Press-On Manicure™ by Broadway Nails for the ultimate DIY manicure. Nail Dress doesn’t dry out the way other polish strips can, so you can save them to use on your next mani. A nail design booklet is included in each package, just in case you need a little inspiration.
And don’t forget about your feet! Nail Dress looks awesome on toes, too – just use the square side of the sticker for a perfect fit.

My Influenster Holiday VoxBox finally came! So I did an unboxing video which can be found here:
So watch that if you want to see some first impressions! But before I get into it I thought I'd explain what Influenster is.
Influenster is a website where you sign up and basically review products either on a product page or a product that is delivered to you personally. You have to qualify for boxes to receive them and I don't receive every single box, I only get the ones I qualify for. They have boxes for everyone though, even men! So don't hesitate to try it out. Check out Influenster to find out more. P.S. I'm not being paid at all for this :)
This is what was in the holiday voxbox!
1. Goody QuikStyle Brush. It is supposed to help with blow drying... although I am skeptical.
2. Kiss Nail Dress. I love these types of nail appliques because they're so easy! And Kiss is a great brand so I'm sure I'll be pleased.
3. Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal+. Oatmeal. What can I say? Haha!
4. NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine. I can already say that I love this gloss, I received it in the shade "Nude York City" and I got it in another voxbox before. It's such a smooth formula and the color is very flattering.
5. EBOOST. It's an energy boost packet thing. I'm excited to try it before I work out!
6. Sole Society Coupon. If you want to use the code to get 25 bucks off, it is INFLUENSTER25. Place the order here!

What Beauty Product...
...Gets you through finals week?
Ladies, if you are a college student you know how stressful the last week of a semester can get. You have last minute homework, papers, tests, parties, and especially at this time of year, last minute gift shopping. I have been so blessed to only have one final to take so I am 100% focused on that but I also have a job and I have to buy some last minute presents too. So what is getting me through these next few days and preventing me from looking as stressed as I feel?
MASCARA.
Mascara is one of my favorite makeup products because it instantly wakes you up and makes you appear more alive. I also have pretty long eyelashes so it just makes my eyes look so big and awake. I think that if I had 30 seconds to get ready for some event mascara is the first thing I would go for, and then maybe a red lip if I had time. I just feel that while my eyes are probably going to be puffy and red from lack of sleep, mascara erases a little bit of that to make me still appear somewhat attractive to my boyfriend.
Favorite one to awaken my tired eyes?
Ulta Voluptuous Volume Mascara
It separates, volumizes, thickens, and lengthens all in one. I love this mascara and the formula isn't too wet so your lashes aren't going to stick together as you comb through them 800 times trying to fix it, while instead adding on piles and piles of mascara that clumps together and now I'm rambling...
Anyway it's a great mascara and right now Ulta makeup is on sale! Buy 1 get 1 free. So head on over and grab a mascara or 10! Haha!

I also have some exciting news! Well, exciting for me. I do not have an iPhone sadly and I have instagram but only on my iPod, which is tough because it doesn't have a camera so I have to load the pictures, then post them on instagram. In December, closer to the end, I'll be getting an iPhone finally and will be able to vlog, share pics, ootd's, and future instagram-only giveaways! So be sure to look out for me!

Birchbox or ipsy? Or other?
Hey ladies! I'm posting a little question/opinion type thing today because I just recently subscribed to Birchbox and ipsy because I'm looking to have a monthly subscription service and since these are ten dollars a month I thought these would be perfect to try. However I've heard bad and good things about each of these services and wanted to know your opinions. I'm thinking that whichever one I like better for the first month, I'll keep that one and cancel the other. What I love is that you can always go back and re-subscribe. No big deal! So who loves these or hates these? Share any and all experiences, favorite products, etc. I heard Birchbox sent out beauty blenders once? SO jealous, wish I had subscribed then!!
